A
large proportion of the raw materials that I work with
is made up of recycled blankets, which I then hand - dye.
Some of these are given to me, others I find at jumble
sales and in charity shops. Over the years I have used
hundreds. I try to keep a little piece of each; a label
or a careful darn, fragments of blanket that have witnessed
intimate moments in so many peoples lives.
The wall hangings and collages are like an archive for
me, before I go on to dye, cut and make something new.
